Rules And Regulations! ^^
I will be judging and so will *drum roll please* ............ ~ChocoCakeLuva!!!!! (but seriosuly who doesn't love chocolate cake, and if you don't I'd rather remain oblivious!!!) And so will ~milly8 !!!! they're so generuos give them a round of applause, AND maybe visit thir galleries? I can't spell.... Also, I will be accepting no more judges. Thank you.
You can enter both the categories if you like, but you can only win one.
There will be first second and third places.........If there's enough people for all those spots.
It has to be a deviation.
Turn the piece in by the deadline (see below). You have to put it up on devi and then send me a note titled soemthign like contest to be officially entered. Those unofficially entered by the deadline will not be judged and cannot win etc.
If you don't want to participate but you want to still do w/e it is, i love fanart so go crazy?


The Contest! ^^
The two categories are writing and drawing. You may either write a/the story of or draw/paint/w/e a picture orfLorali. Lorali is my OC. Um....... you just have to do it and submit it. It's like...easy. I guess.
So, writing a story, is like, writing lorali's stroy, right? It's for all those people who deserve writing contests, not just drawing ones...and those who want to do soemthing different? I dunno. Well, your story, or parts of your story, or your story ideas (the storyline is open except for the main character and the general guidelines [like she's not a mermaid, and she isn't on a quest to destroy a magick ring, you know?]). The drawing thing...you draw her. I don't think it gets easier than that, or simpler put.

The Prizes
1st place- a full request from me. A writing, a drawing, or both. color or black and white, short or longish (not like a novel guys but I'm willing to write longer things for you). A feature in my journal with 3 of my fav pieces from your gallery. AND a headshot of a girl from the wonderful ~milly8 !!!
2nd place- a half request. one black and white picture (which I may color if I like it?) or a short writing (not that short, amn it's hard to classify writings...) A feature in my journal with 2 of my fav pieces in your gallery.
3rd place- A feature in my journal! ^^ With my very favourite piece from your gallery. And a writing at your request! ^^

The Character (aka Lorali)

If you are one of those people who finds it hard to work off of a description, please note me and I will give you an overview of her character. But don't you dare note me because you're too lazy to read this. that would be taking advantage of something I am doing out of courtesy, and that would be rude. But I have faith in you people. So here is her profile thing! ^^

name: Lorali

age: to humans...many, many years old. to other fairies, right about 16-17, which is what she looks like in human years.

Height: Average. But she can be smaller or bigger b/c she can change her appearance (NOT a shape shifter though), but mainly she chooses to be tiny when she actually goes to tell the people they can go to sleep otherwise she mostly stays the same.

wears, looks, and specific accesories: she usually wears an empire waisted dress with flowy, long sleeves. It is the traditonal wear of the sleep faeries. The empire waisted part is....I'm just going to post a ref of her for you. it is really hard to describe. She almost always carries this big staff, with a large golden orb on the top, attatched to it, and wings are on the orb. She has a little longer than shoulder length, straight brown hair, freckles, a creamy skin, and brown eyes. She likes to dress traditionally, and keep her looks, but she is a magical creature and can change what she is wearing or what she looks like instantly [but she prefferrs to keep her looks like herslef, even if she changes clothes and make up and stuff to match the situation]. Oh yeah, she has wings in her head....wait for the ref.

personality: she is extremely curious and loves to have fun. She doesn't usually let thigns drag her down, but she can be sad. She is responsible... but an avid procrastinator.

story: she is one of the sand man's helpers. they are called the sleep faeries. they go and tell the people [humans, us] that they can go to sleep. However, she isn't really so much of a sleep fairy as the insomnia fairy because she forgets to go tell her people, or she puts it off. her curiosity leads her to spend alot of time with humans, and since she can change appearance, she can blend right in. She is not really different because of abilities or fate or prophecy or talent, rather she is different because of her views, which are somewhat philisophical, usually optimistic, and sometimes extremely hippocritical, and occasionally nieve.

Dudes, where did my artist of the monthe go? Hm, I'll have to start it again.
Paintball camp was uber much fun, you'll prolly have a few mroe songs from it, I get attatched to people easily.
Going to Colorado Springs in the near future, as well as to Puerta vayarta or Cancun.
I still can't spell.
A new story idea has popped up in my head!!! It involves four dragons as the mains (one for each direction of the compass , major direction that is) that can hold the form of a human (to fit into a human world, but mostly live in 'isolation' as dragons). The main charcters' dragon names are: Maxamillion, Flush, Shiva, and Celandine. Their human names are Max, Fletcher, Silva/Silvia (haven't decided yet), and Crystaline. Max is green, Flush is red, Shiva is blue, Celandine is gold. Um...there's more, but...I'll put it up in a deviation with their pictures if I can ever get to that.
I still remember my request of Benimaru, from Yusuke (i believe it was you) and I intend to do that picture. I'm doing a picture for an art trade with Kyavalentine, and one with Nanuen, as well as the prize for my contest, a contest entry for....i can't remember her name, the refs/pictures of my new charcters (and why not Serena-Rene and Rupet while I'm at it?), still looking over WELSH to make sure it runs smoothly for once, finishing a card-art for a girl i met at camp (I'm sending her a necklace), I would like to make a dress (i have the fabric- i need a zipper and to get started),and doing any other random art I feel like. It's good though, I've had art block altely so i needed soemthign to draw, I definately got my wish.
Um...in toher news...there is no news? it's summer and I don't have much going on.
